About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams
- Design and evolve complex software systems for business-critical applications
- Lead significant cross-team technical initiatives from design through delivery
- Lead architecture discussions across backend, web, desktop, databases and cloud
- Establish engineering best practices including testing, observability and documentation
- Mentor and develop engineers across teams
Requirements
- 8+ years building and operating scalable production systems
- Track record leading a multi-team migration or re-platforming end-to-end
- Strong computer science fundamentals and relational data modelling
- Experience designing distributed services with fault tolerance
- Ability to influence and mentor senior engineers
- Excellent cross-functional communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP, accounting or business management software
- Windows desktop application development in C++ or native technologies
- Microsoft Azure production infrastructure experience
- Python and Django experience
