Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end pipeline that produces demand models, renewal probability, and price elasticity recommendations
• Solve complex data problems by reconciling inconsistent API data from property management systems
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, including databases, queues, and IAM roles
• Develop the orchestration layer for ingestion, inference, and downstream daily jobs
• Implement observability and alerting for pipeline health, data freshness, and recommendation drift
• Work across the full stack using Python, Terraform, and Ruby
• Set standards for AI-assisted engineering and code reviews

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and operating production systems
• Deep expertise in Python within serverless or service contexts (AWS Lambda, containers)
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Strong proficiency in analytical SQL and data modeling (Redshift experience preferred)
• Ability to work within a large Ruby on Rails codebase
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, S3, SQS, Kinesis, EventBridge, DynamoDB, Aurora/RDS, Redshift, IAM)
• Experience maintaining ML models in production (versioning, dependency drift, feature plumbing)
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Golang
• Web scraping at scale (Playwright or similar)
• OpenSearch index management and tuning
• SOC 2 compliance or security remediation experience
• Knowledge of xgboost, scikit-learn, or SHAP
• Domain experience in Multifamily, PropTech, or revenue management
