About the role
Responsibilities
- Advise prospective students on the completion of the financial aid process
- Collect non-Title IV funds and advise continuing students on account balances
- Coordinate communications with students via email and phone
- Follow up on FAFSA and missing document renewals
- Manage externship and graduation clearance processes
- Review student default status and loan limits via NSLDS
- Reduce Average Accounts Receivables for assigned student populations
- Ensure compliance with Department of Education and internal UMA policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a proactive student finance environment
- Computer and internet literacy
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience
- Working knowledge of Title IV Regulations
- Experience with Campus Vue
