Systems Engineer (Trading Infrastructure)

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end infrastructure setups across regions and colocations, from bring-up to go-live readiness
• Own the systems side: Linux servers, OS baseline, automation, configuration and performance tuning
• Run and improve testing and validation: connectivity checks, load and failure testing, readiness checklists
• Investigate complex issues across layers and drive fixes with network, hardware and vendor partners
• Build repeatable automation and rollout playbooks with Terraform, Ansible and scripting
• Improve observability: metrics, logs, dashboards, alert tuning and latency baselines
• Strengthen operations through runbooks, incident reviews (RCA), change hygiene and documentation
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations for trading infrastructure

Requirements

• Hands-on production experience with Linux and systems troubleshooting
• Ability to debug across layers and coordinate with network and hardware engineers
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, routing basics, MTU, packet loss and jitter
• Automation mindset with bash or Python
• Strong written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Terraform or Ansible experience
• Low-latency and performance tuning (CPU/IRQ affinity, NIC tuning)
• Colocation or provider coordination experience
• Time synchronization basics (NTP/PTP)
• Interest or experience in trading, exchange or broker connectivity
