Tailor

Responsibilities

• Perform sewing, stitching, alterations and repairs of hotel employee uniforms
• Attend to guest garment alteration and repair requests
• Repair and maintain hotel linen including sheets, covers and napkins
• Take body measurements for uniform fitting when required
• Operate and maintain sewing machines and tailoring equipment
• Maintain records of alterations, repairs and issued items
• Coordinate with the Uniform Room and Laundry teams
• Monitor sewing supplies and report shortages

Requirements

• High school certificate or vocational tailoring training
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Tailor
• Knowledge of garment construction and fabric types
• Experience operating industrial and domestic sewing machines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel
