Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in daily activities and managing the class environment
• Implement learning experiences that support the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through constant supervision and risk assessments
• Support children's personal hygiene, feeding, and toileting needs
• Prepare classroom materials, activities, and displays to encourage exploration and curiosity
• Follow nursery policies regarding safeguarding and positive behavior management
• Collaborate with staff members to plan weekly activities and participate in staff meetings and training
• Monitor and report any developmental, emotional, or health concerns to the lead teacher or nurse

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Cache Level 2 qualification
• Minimum of 1 year of similar experience in an early childhood setting
• Knowledge of early childhood pedagogy and best practices
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with parents and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or English/Arabic language
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
