About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee credit approval processes for unsecured lending products including credit cards and personal loans
- Lead credit approval for secured lending products such as mortgages, premium financing, and investment loans
- Mentor and develop a team of Credit Risk Managers and Credit Approval Officers
- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans for system enhancements in VisionPlus and LEAPS
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits to ensure compliance with HKMA and Basel III
- Collaborate with business units and Risk Management to refine credit policies and risk acceptance criteria
- Monitor key credit risk indicators and portfolio performance to identify emerging risks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in credit approval within consumer banking
- At least 3 years of experience in a team lead capacity
- Proven expertise in both secured and unsecured lending
- Solid understanding of HKMA regulations and credit risk management best practices
- Demonstrated experience leading UAT efforts and driving system enhancements
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
