About the role
Responsibilities
- Own communication with stakeholders and other teams, set priorities and assure delivery
- Manage the team, assigning tasks based on strengths and development goals
- Own team capacity planning and ensure hiring, processes and tools are in place
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams while maintaining code quality
- People-first leadership mindset focused on growth and well-being
- Experience with performance reviews, feedback and development planning
- Experience conducting code reviews and participating in hiring
- Understanding of Linux systems and algorithms and data structures
- Ability to design and oversee software architecture
- Decent written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications
- Real-time development with sub-microsecond latency
- Experience in HFT, telecommunications, game development or resource-constrained fields
- Modern C++ development expertise
- Knowledge of networks and interaction protocols
- Experience with version control and CI/CD tools
