Tech Lead, Android Core Product

Responsibilities

• Own major features and work closely with the design team to deliver high-quality user experiences
• Shape the future direction of the Android team
• Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features
• Participate in cross-functional discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams
• Review pull requests and support teammates
• Handle critical issues and manage feature releases and nightly builds for QA

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Deep expertise with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Clean Architecture
• Experience with Background Services, Music Player Service, and Android Animations
• Proficiency with Jetpack Navigation and JUnit tests
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy
• Ability to drive Android UI/UX boundaries
• Excellent communication skills and a user-oriented problem-solving approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to open source Android projects
• Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS
