Technical Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the technical accounting agenda, including global accounting policies, memos and guidance notes
• Provide technical IFRS advice on transactions such as M&A, restructurings and new contracts
• Partner with auditors, legal, tax, FP&A and leadership to resolve complex accounting matters
• Lead projects for new IFRS implementations, system changes or reporting enhancements
• Keep stakeholders informed of emerging standards, GCC regulations and best practices
• Represent the company with external auditors and contribute to industry forums

Requirements

• 7-10 years of relevant experience, at least 5 in technical accounting or financial reporting
• Strong exposure to IFRS standards (IFRS 9, 15, 16, 3, 10)
• Experience drafting technical accounting memos, policies and position papers
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CPA (or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently and communicate complex issues to non-finance stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Big 4 accounting or advisory
• Experience managing regional or multi-jurisdictional entities in the GCC
