Telephone Operator

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming and internal calls promptly, professionally and courteously
• Assist guests with enquiries and provide accurate information about hotel facilities and services
• Connect calls and coordinate guest requests with the appropriate departments
• Record and follow up on guest requests to ensure they are handled promptly
• Handle wake-up calls and other telephone-related guest services
• Respond appropriately to emergency calls and follow established hotel procedures
• Maintain a professional and guest-focused approach in every interaction

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Telephone Operator or in a similar guest service role, preferably within a hotel
• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
• A pleasant and professional telephone manner
• Strong listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
• Good computer skills; knowledge of hotel PMS and telephone systems is an advantage
• Fluent in English
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
