Teller

Responsibilities

• Process cash deposits, withdrawals, cheque deposits, transfers, and foreign-currency transactions accurately
• Reconcile daily cash, valuables, vault balances, and transaction records
• Manage manager's cheques, demand drafts, telegraphic transfers, and clearing items
• Deliver professional customer service supporting branch service targets
• Comply with KYC, AML, operational-risk controls and regulatory requirements
• Escalate suspicious or unusual transactions to supervisors
• Promote ATM, CDM, mobile and online banking channels

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years banking experience in a teller or cashier role
• Knowledge of cash handling, teller operations and reconciliation
• Understanding of KYC, AML, fraud prevention and operational risk
• High accuracy, integrity and attention to detail
• Strong customer-service and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail banking branch experience
• Familiarity with foreign-currency transactions, clearing, demand drafts or vault operations
• Familiarity with digital banking channels
