About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct active trading of US equities using fundamental and technical analysis
- Monitor macroeconomic events, earnings releases, and market news to identify opportunities
- Implement, evaluate, and refine proprietary trading strategies
- Execute trades efficiently via electronic trading platforms
- Analyse trade performance and maintain comprehensive records
- Collaborate with other traders, analysts, and technology teams
Requirements
- Proven experience in live equity trading, ideally in US markets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret charts, technical indicators, and market flows
- Excellent judgement, discipline, and resilience in fast-moving financial environments
- Technical proficiency in trading platforms, market data software, and Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
- Minimum of 2 years' direct experience trading US equities
- Professional certifications like CFA or CMT are advantageous
