Trading Risk Control Lead- Regulated Risk

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk frameworks, assessments, risk appetite measures and controls for regulated digital asset businesses
• Oversee market surveillance, investigate potential market abuse and coordinate escalations and regulatory reporting with Compliance and Legal
• Improve surveillance systems, monitoring scenarios and alert thresholds
• Lead risk and surveillance workstreams for VASP and equivalent licence applications
• Report key risks, surveillance findings and remediation progress to management and boards

Requirements

• At least 5 years in risk management, market surveillance or regulatory oversight
• Hands-on experience investigating trading activity and market abuse
• Experience developing risk frameworks and governance documentation
• Familiarity with digital asset products and regulatory expectations
• Strong analytical, investigative and communication skills
• Degree in finance, economics, law, risk management or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with surveillance platforms such as Solidus Labs, Nasdaq SMARTS or Eventus
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python or trading data analysis tools
• Experience supporting regulated entities or licensing across jurisdictions
• Professional qualifications such as FRM or CFA
