About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee assigned activities within the Compliance Assurance Unit, ensuring effective delivery of the approved assurance plan
- Support the development and enhancement of an independent Quality Assurance / Compliance Assurance framework across UAE and international locations
- Provide independent assurance to Senior Management on the design and operating effectiveness of the Compliance Programme and internal policies
- Collaborate with Compliance verticals and business stakeholders to assess internal controls and regulatory adherence
- Provide technical guidance and quality oversight during planning, fieldwork, issue validation, and reporting of assurance reviews
- Identify and escalate significant control weaknesses, recurring themes, and emerging compliance risks
- Proactively escalate critical issues that may expose the Bank to regulatory, conduct, financial crime, or reputational risk
- Support the Head of Compliance Assurance in strengthening assurance methodology, governance, and reporting
