About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary assessments, investigations and lessons learned reviews of misconduct allegations
- Plan and conduct serious and complex investigations, including evidence gathering and interviews
- Prepare investigation and closure reports with findings and recommendations
- Provide quality assurance review of investigation products and files
- Support IIF unit staff with investigation-related activities as needed
Requirements
- Advanced degree in law or a field related to investigations (first degree plus 2 years experience may substitute)
- Minimum 5 years progressively responsible investigative experience
- Experience managing multiple investigation assignments across countries and regions
- Experience in international or complex operational environments
- Proficiency with MS Office, case management and web-based management systems
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UN administrative investigations or similar international organizations
- Knowledge of UN policies and procedures
- Experience leading complex criminal or administrative fraud investigations
- Knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP
