About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on carbon credit mechanisms and voluntary and compliance carbon markets
- Evaluate carbon credit generation, quantification, verification, certification and trading methodologies
- Investigate applications of AI, blockchain and IoT to carbon credit traceability and MRV
- Prepare research reports, policy briefs and technical assessments
- Present research findings through webinars, conferences and technical meetings
Requirements
- Strong analytical, quantitative and research skills
- Good understanding of carbon markets and greenhouse gas accounting
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong attention to detail and research integrity
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, climate change or a related discipline
- Experience with carbon accounting methodologies and carbon credit calculations
- Knowledge of Paris Agreement Article 6, GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, VCS or Gold Standard
