UNPAID VOLUNTEER -Technology Officer- Blockchain-Ditributed Ledger Technology

Responsibilities

• Support development, testing and implementation of blockchain and DLT applications
• Research and evaluate blockchain platforms, protocols and emerging distributed technologies
• Contribute to Proof-of-Concept applications across DTID projects
• Develop and test smart contracts on appropriate platforms and standards
• Assess blockchain architectures, consensus mechanisms and protocols for use cases
• Contribute technical input to research projects, papers and publications
• Assist with prototypes and technology demonstrations
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and knowledge resources
• Collaborate with technology specialists, researchers and other DTID teams

Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good software development and technical skills
• Experience developing or testing blockchain applications or smart contracts
• Knowledge of Ethereum, Hyperledger or other blockchain platforms
• Knowledge of consensus mechanisms and cryptography principles
• Experience with Java, C++, Solidity, JavaScript, Go or Python
• Experience with Linux, cloud platforms and version control
• Ability to work independently in a remote, international team

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
• Blockchain, software engineering or cloud certifications
• Knowledge of an additional international language
• Proof-of-Concept, open-source or GitHub portfolio
