Job description

Responsibilities

  • Create landscapes and building interiors for The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order (LoA:SO) based on concepts and layouts
  • Use Unreal Engine 4 to build levels and manage assets
  • Utilize Houdini tools for procedural development
  • Communicate effectively with 3D Artists regarding asset requirements
  • Assist and teach junior team members if required
  • Attend team meetings via Slack and follow team policies

Requirements

  • Ability to create detailed landscapes and building interiors in Unreal Engine 4
  • Ability to optimize environments using LODs (Level of Detail)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Hardware capable of running Unreal Engine 4
  • Sufficient disk space and internet speed to download 25 GB of game files

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Houdini for procedural development
  • Unreal Engine 4 Blueprint Scripting experience
  • Experience using Quixel Megascans Asset Library
  • Heightmap development experience
  • Familiarity with heightmapping software like QuadSpinner Gaea
