About the Company

Deep Science Ventures is creating a future in which both humans and the planet can thrive. We use our unique venture creation process to create, invest in, and spin-out science companies, empowering entrepreneurial scientists to combine scientific expertise with business models to synthesise high-impact ventures de novo.

Responsibilities

• Year 1: Familiarize with a given industry, map the landscape, and identify opportunities for high-impact venture creation through scoping and lab work.
• Year 2: Focus on invention, developing initial hypotheses, and validating technology through techno-economic analysis within leading research groups.
• Year 3: Develop scalable technology capable of product-market fit and work with venture partners to build a team and investment case for venture incorporation.
• Post-incorporation: Lead the new venture as a co-founder with continuous support from DSV.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in natural sciences, engineering, or a closely related technical field
• Ambition and resilience to co-found a science-based venture in climate, agriculture, health, or computation
• Ability to think creatively from first principles to solve technical and commercial challenges
• Prior experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, or new technology development
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Ability to commit full-time (5 working days per week)
