Vice President, Centralized Payments

Responsibilities

• Manage all payments relating to external vendors for various Mashreqbank Group companies and overseas branches
• Administer accounting functions for Mashreq Subsidiary Injaz, including books of accounts, statutory audits, and financial statements
• Manage payments for bank, subsidiaries, and overseas branches for administrative expenses and staff costs (salaries, allowances, reimbursements)
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in Oracle Financials, HRMS, WPS, UAEFTS, and I-flex
• Verify payment approvals for genuineness, authority, policy compliance, and accuracy to mitigate financial risks
• Conceptualize and implement system enhancements and automation for manual processes, including Oracle Accounts Payable implementation

Requirements

• UAE National status is mandatory
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or centralized payment operations
• Extensive experience in centralized payments, reconciliation, and settlement within banking or large financial institutions
• Strong expertise in IFRS, Accounting Policies, and internal control frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Flexcube, Oracle GL, Oracle Payables, and Oracle Fixed Assets
• Practical exposure to UAE payment systems including UAEFTS and WPS
• Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
• Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams
