About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for the assigned teaching area
- Deliver effective live lessons via web conference using research-based instructional practices
- Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading
- Complete course setup within the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
- Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth
- Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons
Requirements
- Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- High quality written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of teaching experience
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting
