About the role
Responsibilities
- Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to assist in intervention strategies and modify general education curricula
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and functional behavior assessments
- Write and implement behavior improvement plans
- Facilitate IEP Meetings and develop IEP goals and objectives
- Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction
- Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into lessons and interactions
- Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth
Requirements
- Current state Intervention Specialist License
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- Experience working in a full room inclusion or Co-Teaching Resource Room model
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI)
