About the role
Responsibilities
- Support educational and behavioral goals for students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify curricula and implement intervention strategies
- Conduct diagnostic and functional behavior assessments
- Write and implement behavior improvement plans
- Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals and objectives
- Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth
Requirements
- Current state Intervention Specialist License
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching models
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI)
- Resident of Ohio
