VP of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enable Engineering Managers and build a cohesive engineering organization
• Recruit, develop, and retain engineers to build a scalable team
• Own engineering vision, architecture, and technology strategy focused on reliability, security, and scalability
• Define CI/CD and QA policy for how code is built, tested, and deployed
• Partner with AI and Analytics leadership to turn optimization work into production software
• Work with Product leadership on roadmap, prioritization, and tradeoffs
• Represent engineering to the C-Suite and customers, investors and partners
• Own engineering career pathing, headcount, vendors, and cloud spend

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 3+ years managing managers
• Experience designing and building production systems
• Led a dynamic engineering organization in a scaling technical or startup environment
• Built and scaled B2B SaaS, ideally with enterprise customers
• Directed ongoing SOC 2 compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the AWS, Python, Java and TypeScript stack
• Experience with logistics, transportation systems, or complex operational domains
• Experience growing a technical organization in a research-born company
