About the role
Responsibilities
- Build and improve responsive web experiences across Rare Candy's collector-facing product
- Develop maintainable interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern web tooling
- Integrate with GraphQL APIs and collaborate with backend engineers on data requirements and API contracts
- Own features from technical planning through implementation, testing, rollout, and follow-up improvements
- Build reusable components and consistent interaction patterns
- Ensure experiences work well across devices and browsers with attention to accessibility and performance
- Investigate and address production bugs
- Work closely with product and design to balance user needs and technical constraints
- Contribute thoughtful code reviews
Requirements
- 3-5 years of web engineering experience with meaningful features shipped in production
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript
- Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with GraphQL or REST APIs, including data fetching and state management
- Ability to build responsive, accessible interfaces
- Experience reasoning through component design and performance tradeoffs
- Ability to write useful tests and debug issues across the browser and network
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
- Knowledge of the trading-card or collector world

What we look for
- 3-5 years web engineering experience
