Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain satellite communication gateway infrastructure
• Diagnose and troubleshoot antennas, RF systems, frequency converters, and related hardware
• Perform testing, integration, commissioning, and validation of gateway components
• Monitor system health and support corrective actions to reduce disruptions
• Provide remote technical support to field locations and operations teams
• Document maintenance activities, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams
• Support inventory management, asset tracking, and travel for site work

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science
• 3+ years of experience in field engineering, satellite, network, or similar technical roles
• Experience with satellite communications infrastructure and RF systems
• Familiarity with antennas, frequency conversion equipment, and diagnostic tools
• Ability to use spectrum analyzers and related test equipment
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Ability to lift equipment and work in varying field conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Satellite communications certifications such as VSAT or SatCom
• Experience with geographically distributed or remote operational sites
• Knowledge of IP-based communications and telecommunications infrastructure
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
