About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute grid integration strategies for EVgo charging infrastructure
- Build and maintain partnerships with electric utilities and regulatory agencies
- Lead utility infrastructure planning, including site feasibility and equipment requirements
- Coordinate with construction teams, utilities, and vendors for project execution
- Negotiate and execute interconnection agreements and coordinate engineering studies
- Manage utility schedules and forecasting to support project milestones
- Lead technical analyses and modeling to evaluate grid integration scenarios
- Ensure project compliance with industry regulations and electrical codes
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and utility operations
- Demonstrated experience with utility interconnection processes and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Google Earth
- Ability to travel up to 20% for site visits and meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the electric vehicle, energy, or utility sectors
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Familiarity with demand response programs or battery energy storage systems
- Experience with Salesforce or Sitetracker
