Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using advanced project management software
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects at various stages of development
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance
  • Analyze project costs and variances, providing regular reports to management
  • Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with project teams to optimize resource allocation and efficiency
  • Perform earned value analysis and forecast project performance
  • Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure alignment between plans and actual progress
  • Develop and maintain cost databases and historical records for future reference

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in planning and cost engineering (preferably in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects)
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with cost estimation software
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Experience with risk analysis tools and techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
  • Familiarity with local construction practices and regulations in the UAE is a plus
  • Eligibility: Only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered (Emiratisation role)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCP (Certified Cost Professional)
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry and project lifecycle management
  • Expertise in cost control, budgeting, schedule development, and risk assessment
