Job description

Responsibilities

  • Plan and administer small decentralized public water and wastewater systems
  • Provide leadership in the design of efficient and constructable civil projects
  • Estimate and budget labor hours for design projects and review job costing reports
  • Establish and maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction and objective fulfillment
  • Mentor young design professionals and scientific staff
  • Participate in business development, marketing presentations, and professional organizations
  • Manage cumulative project totals of $400K annually and achieve profitability goals
  • Develop $300K in new project work annually
  • Write and review technical reports, proposals, and MCP reports
  • Hire and manage subcontractors

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a consulting engineer in water/wastewater system projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration or professional accreditation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft 365/CRM
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD
  • Experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and MCP report preparation
  • Proven history of meeting project timelines and budgets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Deltek Vision
  • Experience working under the direction of a Licensed Site Professional (LSP)
