Job description

Responsibilities

  • Use Phaidra's products to create facility models for ingestion by the product lineup
  • Configure, commission, and tune AI control products according to customer requirements
  • Identify and define product requirements based on customer specifications
  • Provide ongoing support for deployed products, including issue resolution and performance monitoring
  • Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for customers and internal teams
  • Lead deployment and support of multiple solutions in parallel
  • Troubleshoot and analyze issues with control systems and equipment

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience as a controls engineer or programmer
  • Expertise in HVAC and Data Center cooling control methodologies
  • Knowledge of chiller plant fundamentals and sequence of operations
  • Understanding of applied thermodynamics for cooling, refrigeration, and hydronics
  • Experience with industrial/commercial control protocols like BACnet and Modbus
  • Experience programming control systems with PLC, ladder logic, or block programming
  • Ability to read and write Python scripts
  • Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering fields
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying AI and ML in controls applications
  • Experience architecting services within cloud platforms
  • Experience with statistics and analytics
  • Familiarity with markup languages like XML, JSON, or YAML
  • Experience building and operating codebases/services
