About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform complex track and civil design for intermodal and other rail terminal projects
- Develop plans, specifications, design calculations, and cost estimates
- Provide technical guidance and serve as a resource for project teams
- Perform quality control reviews against project requirements and client expectations
- Coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
- Assist with project scoping, technical proposals, and client coordination
- Identify opportunities to improve design processes and quality
Requirements
- PE license required
- 8+ years of experience in rail track design
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required
- Strong technical knowledge of rail track, terminal, and/or intermodal design
- Experience leading technical design efforts
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
