About the role
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and validate detailed parametric CAD models in FreeCAD
- Develop and optimize mechanical assemblies using best practices
- Apply GD&T and DFM principles to ensure manufacturability
- Generate precise technical drawings and documentation
- Conduct engineering QA reviews of CAD models and drawings
- Utilize Python scripting for CAD automation tasks
- Provide feedback on model accuracy and design intent
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical, product, or industrial engineering
- Advanced proficiency in FreeCAD or equivalent parametric CAD platforms
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and DFM best practices
- Ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation for manufacturing
- Experience conducting engineering QA and verifying model integrity
- Excellent analytical and communication skills for remote collaboration
