Senior Manager, DC Safety

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of Alo's safety strategy across the distribution center network
• Partner with the Director of Safety & Operations Training to develop and improve scalable safety programs
• Lead, coach, and develop safety leaders across the network
• Maintain a strong field presence to assess risk and support operational execution
• Proactively identify workplace hazards and implement sustainable corrective actions
• Establish risk assessment, inspection, audit, and corrective action management processes
• Provide safety oversight for material handling equipment, ergonomics, automation, and emergency response
• Lead incident reporting, investigation, root-cause analysis, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local occupational health and safety requirements, including OSHA
• Partner with HR, Facilities, Engineering, and Legal to integrate safety into operational planning

Requirements

• Strong occupational health and safety expertise
• Proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing safety professionals
• Experience developing scalable programs and systems for business growth
• Ability to identify and prioritize operational risk and drive corrective actions
• Proficiency in using safety metrics and incident trends for data-driven decision making
• Ability to communicate complex regulatory topics to frontline and executive audiences
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the distribution center network
