Senior Rail Structures Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design of railroad bridges and related structures
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and staff
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions
• Support project planning including scope development, scheduling, and budgeting
• Conduct quality control reviews and ensure compliance with design standards
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, railroads, and regulatory agencies
• Assist with business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship management
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in railroad bridge and structure design
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license
• Proficiency with MicroStation, RISA 3D, and Bluebeam Revu
• Valid driver's license and good driving history
• Ability to travel as required

• Experience leading technical design efforts and coordinating project deliverables
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
