Senior Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and run core security capabilities including secure development, vulnerability management, and cloud security
• Own security tooling by selecting, deploying, and fine-tuning scanners to ensure actionable signals
• Embed security into engineering workflows by designing guardrails that support developer productivity
• Drive pragmatic vulnerability management by triaging risks and shaping remediation priorities
• Continuously improve security operations through automation and scalable processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of security engineering experience with a hands-on, builder-style approach
• Demonstrated experience deploying and operating security controls in AWS
• Expertise in vulnerability management and Secure SDLC
• Experience with CI/CD security tooling and pipeline integrations
• Proficiency in penetration testing
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex risks for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• OSCP or similar offensive/security certifications
• Experience preparing for SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI audits
• Background in a startup or scale-up environment
