Senior Specialist, Subcontracts

Responsibilities

• Lead complex subcontract activities for defense and aerospace programs
• Develop subcontract strategies aligned with program objectives and compliance
• Prepare specifications, statements of work, bid packages and terms for procurements
• Lead supplier solicitation, proposal evaluation and source selection support
• Perform cost and price analysis and lead subcontract negotiations
• Oversee subcontract awards and administration through closeout
• Identify and mitigate subcontractor financial, technical, schedule and quality risk
• Apply FAR, DFARS, flow-downs and company policies to subcontract actions
• Mentor less experienced subcontracts professionals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant subcontracts experience, or graduate degree and 4+ years, or 10+ years without a degree
• Experience with complex defense or aerospace subcontracting
• Proficiency with MS Office tools for program management

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing and ATP processes
• Experience supporting supplier contracts above the TINA threshold
