About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the supplier base end to end including selection, consolidation, and tiering strategy
- Lead negotiations on package price, MOQs, lead times, rebates, and payment terms
- Drive improvements on gross margin percentage and landed COGS
- Manage assortment and category strategy in collaboration with revenue teams
- Run Odeko's private label from category selection through supplier development
- Build and lead the new category manager organization
Requirements
- 10+ years in sourcing, procurement, or merchandising
- 5+ years of leadership experience in distribution, foodservice, or CPG
- Proven track record managing annual spend exceeding $250MM
- Experience leading negotiations on individual contracts valued at $10M+ annually
- Experience managing commodity-exposed category books
- Experience with category management and assortment decisions
- Experience deploying AI or advanced-analytics solutions for sourcing
- Strong executive presence and ability to partner with cross-functional leaders
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, or economics (MBA preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- M&A experience involving supplier and vendor relationship integration
- Experience with private label/own-brand development
- Experience with perishables and short-shelf-life categories
- Experience in high-growth companies
