Job Description
Responsibilities
- Work with onboarding teams and clients to arrange kick-off meetings and drive project delivery.
- Create, maintain, and manage project plans for successful client rollouts.
- Support project review calls (internal/external) and manage project streams, including changes in scope or schedules.
- Define and set up client payroll processes, documenting payroll and data requirements, and manage payroll calendar.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans, status reports, and process documents.
- Configure interfaces, reports, and system settings for parallel and live payrolls in the first months.
- Oversee go-live transition, secure client sign-off, and ensure project implementation documentation and validation.
- Map GL reports as required.
- Act as the main point of contact for all client payroll project matters.
- Lead autonomous project management, including regular status reporting to senior leadership and escalation of issues.
- Schedule and conduct weekly client calls to discuss project status, risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
- Gather key requirements from clients and guide them through technical onboarding of payroll systems.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to document payroll requirements.
- Ensure payroll compliance with local tax and labor laws, staying current on legislative changes.
- Supervise migration of payroll data from legacy to global systems, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Develop and execute testing plans for new payroll systems.
- Implement change management for seamless transitions for employees and HR teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years global payroll implementation/operations
- Strong payroll process and compliance knowledge
- Payroll systems/software experience
- Client-facing project management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving
- Ability to juggle multiple projects/deadlines
- Bachelor’s in HR, Business, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
- Master’s degree
