Payroll Specialist Lead - United Arab Emirates

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for payroll in the UAE
• Manage relationships with stakeholders across Payroll, Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering
• Oversee end-to-end UAE payroll processing, statutory filing, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance
• Ensure payroll operations meet DMCC, MOL, and WPS standards, including all reporting and processes
• Maintain full data integrity and quality
• Handle accounting and reconciliations
• Focus on KPIs and SLAs related to payroll operations
• Implement and improve payroll processes
• Mentor and support payroll specialists
• Serve as a backup for regional managers during their absence

Requirements

• In-house payroll management or equivalent experience leading full end-to-end payroll processing for the UAE
• Hands-on experience with DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre), MOL (Ministry of Labour), or WPS (Wages Protection System) workflows
• Knowledge of payroll best practices
• Proficiency with SAP, Excel, and/or Google Sheets
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced, international, asynchronous work environment
• Productivity focused and process-oriented
• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Familiarity with multi-country payroll processing
