Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the pre-contract phase of complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
  • Develop and implement strategic project plans, including risk assessment, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Negotiate and review contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare comprehensive project proposals and bid documents.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project challenges.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and financial projections for projects.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, as well as industry best practices.
  • Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing pre-contract department.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to continuously improve pre-contract processes and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on pre-contract activities
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale projects in the UAE construction or engineering sector
  • In-depth knowledge of contract negotiation, risk assessment, and budgeting processes
  • Strong understanding of UAE construction industry regulations and international contract law
  • Proficiency in FIDIC contract forms and other relevant contract structures
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in vertical projects is required
