Senior Director - Regional Head of Social Impact and Sustainability CEMEA

Responsibilities

• Lead Visa’s Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA) Social Impact & Sustainability team to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) aligned with market priorities and the Visa 2030 business strategy.
• Expand entrepreneurship and empower small businesses, especially women-led, with digital tools, knowledge, access, and security.
• Provide financial education for economic inclusion and development.
• Enhance the security of digital commerce for all market stakeholders.
• Demonstrate Visa’s long-term commitment to local communities.
• Develop and oversee implementation of narratives and initiatives that reflect Visa’s social impact and sustainability efforts across the region.
• Establish and nurture deep relationships with external stakeholders to drive long-term value and enhance Visa’s reputation across the region.
• Coordinate humanitarian relief and sustainability efforts in collaboration with cross-functional business leaders.
• Oversee measurement and reporting of social and business outcomes in line with OKRs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree minimum.
• Minimum 13-15 years’ experience across public, private, and civil sectors.
• Experience in financial services and/or technology preferred; government, politics, communications, economic development a plus.
• Outstanding leadership and people management capabilities, with experience recruiting, developing, and advancing diverse talent.
• Proven track record in creating, implementing, and scaling public-private partnerships in emerging markets.
• Extensive experience developing and executing comprehensive public affairs campaigns.
• Demonstrated success in building long-term partnerships with public and civil sector organizations.
• Experience navigating complex corporate environments and translating global strategies to regional and country contexts.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12+ years with an Advanced Degree; or PhD with 9+ years’ experience.
• Experience influencing global and regional/country stakeholders and developing strategies and roadmaps that encompass social impact and business priorities.
• Strong understanding of financial inclusion, SMB needs, and sustainability.
• Knowledge of the intersection between social impact, sustainability, government/regulatory affairs and communications.
• Global mindset, cultural agility, and passion for creating measurable impact.
