Senior Transport Planner / Modeller - Abu Dhabi STEAM Model

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage small to medium scale transportation planning projects and broader transportation planning inputs to multi-disciplinary projects.
• Support and conduct transport modelling, master planning and impact studies.
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise junior colleagues’ workloads.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for traffic studies and master planning services.
• Participate constructively in project teams and represent the company in front of clients and authorities.
• Travel locally within the UAE and regionally to neighbouring countries as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning, or related field (mandatory).
• 7–12 years of experience in transportation engineering and planning.
• Professional membership in a relevant institution (e.g., CIHT, ICE, TPS).
• Good understanding of transport planning and modelling principles.
• Experience with software such as Cube Voyager, PTV Visum, PTV Vissim, SIDRA, Synchro, HCS+.
• Working knowledge/experience with Abu Dhabi STEAM model.
• Excellent MS Excel and AutoCAD skills.
• Advanced technical writing and English language proficiency.
• Project management knowledge.
• Experience with quality assurance and technical delivery processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering and Planning.
• Awareness or working knowledge of Aimsun.
• Experience with statistical tools, database software, and GIS packages (e.g., ArcGIS).
• Road safety expertise.
• Arabic language skills (reading, writing, and spoken).
• Previous Middle East/GCC project experience.
• Good personal organization and continual professional development commitment.
