Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Represent Canonical's solutions and software in your assigned territory (Middle East)
  • Build and execute a territory plan, prioritizing outreach and prospecting
  • Develop new pipeline through outreach, prospecting, local marketing, and industry events
  • Close contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets
  • Proactively achieve tactical and strategic objectives
  • Manage customer relationships throughout all sales cycle stages
  • Collaborate with field engineers to propose tailored solutions
  • Identify account growth opportunities with customer success teams
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and sales forecasts within Salesforce
  • Build professional relationships with key influencers and decision makers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering or computer science)
  • Experience with open source technology and solutions
  • Detail-oriented with effective follow-up
  • Proven history in enterprise software or technology sales planning and execution
  • Knowledge of the Telco market in the region (e.g., STC, Etisalat, Zain, Mobily)
  • Track record in meeting/exceeding sales targets and closing new accounts
  • Self-disciplined and motivated for success in a distributed team
  • Fluent professional English, plus any relevant local language(s)
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally for client and company events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vertical experience in sectors like finance, telco, health, energy, public sector, technology
  • Experience speaking at conferences or industry events
