AI Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Decompose processes and form an automation backlog prioritized by impact and complexity
• Integrate LLMs into company processes and develop custom MCP solutions
• Write scripts in JavaScript or Python (including using AI tools like Claude Code)
• Explain engineering decisions and justify alternatives
• Maintain and develop existing automations and handle errors
• Write documentation for solutions
• Monitor AI trends and implement tools that provide real value

Requirements

• Proven experience with production-ready automations or agents (specifically n8n)
• Proficiency in reading, explaining, and fixing code (Python or JavaScript)
• Practical experience with LLM API integrations (function/tool calling, structured outputs, JSON)
• Experience building AI agents
• Practical experience with REST APIs (methods, status codes, authentication, webhooks)
• Experience ensuring reliability (logs, metrics, alerts, retries)
• Ability to decompose processes and define MVP boundaries
• Experience documenting solutions and interacting with non-technical teams
• Focus on reliability, security, and scalability in engineering decisions
