AI Product Engineer

About the Company

Distru is the #1 ERP in the cannabis industry, processing $3B in annual sales. We are a fully remote and global team building a software platform to streamline the supply chain for the cannabis industry, including a B2B marketplace layer called Distru Commerce.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build a multi-agent system in production capable of operating across ERP, CRM, spreadsheets, and other business tools
• Build and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations to connect the harness to real business systems
• Own production system concerns including reliability, observability, permissions, and safe workflow execution
• Define product scope, make architectural tradeoffs, and drive execution with minimal oversight
• Design user-centric products that prioritize practical utility over technical complexity
• Stay at the edge of the AI ecosystem by implementing emerging agent frameworks and standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, ideally in B2B SaaS
• Hands-on experience building multi-agent harnesses in production
• Experience building MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations used in production
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Node, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and LangGraph
• Experience in early-stage startup environments (under 20 engineers)
• Strong understanding of production reliability, observability, and permissions
• Ability to operate as both a product owner and an engineer

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in supply chain, ERP, CRM, B2B marketplaces, or accounting software
• Experience with UX design
• Familiarity with agentic orchestration and evaluation frameworks
• Experience using Claude Code or similar tools for independent product building
• Experience in the cannabis industry
