Job description
Responsibilities
- Study incident reports implicating LLMs or NLP algorithms and hypothesize root causes
- Conduct literature and open-source reviews in NLP or LLM
- Design, plan, and create NLP or LLM assessments to expand digital safety best practices
- Code or train text analytics needed to run NLP or LLM assessments
- Prepare written component documentation for technical audiences
- Publish assessment research results in peer-reviewed conferences and journals
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to scale assessments
Requirements
- Ph.D. in computer science or a related field with a focus on NLP or LLMs
- 3 years of relevant experience post-Ph.D.
- Mastery level knowledge of NLP and LLM safety
- Ability to solve AI assessment research challenges independently
