Job description
Responsibilities
- Converse with AI models on lab scenarios and theoretical analytical chemistry questions
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses
- Capture reproducible error traces and document failure modes
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
Requirements
- Expertise in spectroscopy, chromatography, electrochemical analysis, or quantitative chemical analysis
- Knowledge of mass spectrometry, HPLC, GC, NMR interpretation, or method validation
- Ability to provide clear, metacognitive communication and "show your work"
- Proficiency in using a secure computer and high-speed internet
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in analytical chemistry or a closely related chemical science field
- Experience with peer-reviewed publications
- Background in lab-based method development, regulatory testing, or instrumentation-intensive research
