Associate Director, Strategic Finance

Responsibilities

• Lead Long Range Planning (LRP) process for Vera, working with financial leadership to set long-range strategic and financial objectives
• Support capital formation strategy, including investor relations and equity/debt/alternative financing
• Prepare materials for IR events, including earnings releases and business updates
• Conduct industry research and synthesize insights to support corporate objectives
• Aid leadership in cash runway analyses, budget and headcount planning, and cost effectiveness projects
• Organize and manage special projects critical to long-term success
• Develop and maintain productive relationships across the company to support strategy execution

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in biotech and/or corporate finance
• BS and/or MBA
• Track record of developing and executing strategic initiatives
• Top-notch financial, strategic planning, and business planning skills
• Robust understanding of valuation and financial concepts
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to travel up to ~20%
