Associate Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze energy efficiency program data using Excel and other tools
• Evaluate and develop methodologies and algorithms to determine electric and fossil fuel savings
• Calculate energy and demand savings for residential, commercial, and industrial energy efficiency measures
• Conduct on-site verification of energy efficiency measures
• Produce high-quality reports and presentations based on engineering methods and findings
• Support additional evaluation and research activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, environmental sciences, or a related field
• Coursework or experience related to energy consumption, efficiency, clean energy, or sustainability
• Understanding of engineering principles underlying building energy use
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Python
• Strong attention to quality assurance and detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ASHRAE, ENERGY STAR, IPMVP, or IECC
• Experience with energy modeling, bin data analysis, and data logging
• Experience with building energy simulation modeling applications such as eQuest, OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, EnergyPro, or EnergyGauge
